In 1930 most neighborhood living arrangements and organizations were situated underneath Highway 89/91. Around sixty-five homes were on the slope above. The principal wellspring of water was the regular springs that streamed out of the slope. The territory underneath the thruway got water from the exclusive McDuff and McNeil springs situated on the slopes south on the Salt Lake-Davis County fringe. 

In 1946 an engineer obtained arrive on the slope to construct homes. So as to acquire water for his homes he made a buy concurrence with the proprietors of the McDuff and McNeil springs.
